What forms of payment do you accept?

For your convenience, M2 Global accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and cash.  Purchase Orders are accepted with approved credit.

What are your shipping methods and terms for shipping?

Domestic shipments are made via the most economical method to meet your ship date, prepaid and billed on invoice, unless other instructions are given.

How can I receive quote and term information?

Prices and delivery information may be obtained from our sales representatives or the factory sales department.  All prices are given FOB factory and are subject to change without notice.  Payment terms are net 30 days to approved accounts. See our standard terms and conditions for complete details.

What kind of Warranty comes with your products?

All ferrite products are warranted to the original purchaser to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of shipment.  Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair, replacement or credit. See our standard terms and conditions for details.

What are your terms and conditions for obsolescence and specification changes?

We reserve the right to discontinue any item or change specifications without notice.

What kind of magnetic and RFI shielding is provided?

All standard devices are magnetically shielded and may be operated within a distance equal to its own width from a heavy steel plate without degraded performance.  All devices are RFI shielded with a typical rating of 40db below signal level.  They are available at nominal additional cost up to 60db.  For RFI needs in excess of 60db, please contact the factory.

What levels of shock and vibration can your devices endure?

Each unit is intrinsically rugged and resistant to shock and vibration of the type encountered in normal transportation and use.  Our units have been tested under several conditions, from simple drop tests to controlled X, Y, & Z seismic tests compliant to GR-63-CORE.  For special shock, vibration, and environmental protection see Custom Designs.

What are your standard finishes?

The standard finish is alodine, nickel, or zinc plating. Special finishes are available on request.

How are your units labeled?

Each unit is marked with a data code and the direction of signal flow.  Standard markings of ports for circulators are "1", "2", and "3", Isolators are marked "IN" and "OUT".  Waveguide flange isolators and isoadaptors have the input port marked "IN".

What quality assurance and test data are provided?

M2 Global is ISO 9001 and AS9100 Certified.  All M2 Global devices are individually tested to assure they meet guaranteed electrical and mechanical specifications.  Each shipment is accompanied by a test certification.  Complete test data is available by special order.  Special QA provisions can be met.

What kind of magnet material do your products use?

95% of our products use ceramic magnets. Neodymium magnets are not used.

What is an Isolator / Circulator?

A Circulator is a 3-port ferrite device used to route microwave signals from one port to another, Port 1-> Port 2, Port 2 -> Port 3, Port 3 -> Port 1.

An Isolator is basically a circulator with port 3 terminated.  It becomes a 2 port device which transmits a signal in port 1 and out port 2.  Any reflected energy or any signal entering port 2 will be routed to port 3 where it is absorbed.  Thus port 1 is "isolated" from port 2.

What is isolation (S12)?

Isolation is defined as the ratio of the reflected power to incident power at the terminated port (port 3).  S12 is the scattering parameter designation for the transmission coefficient of isolation.  This is energy that is leaked back in the wrong direction.

What is VSWR (S11, S22)?

VSWR is your return loss. Return loss is designated as reflected power/incident power.  Each port has this characteristic.  S11 is the scattering parameter designation for the transmission coefficient of return loss at the input port, while S22 is for the output port.

What is insertion loss (S21)?

Insertion loss is characterized as your output vs. input or better recognized as transmitted power/incident power.  Insertion loss is the reduction of the incident power as it passes through the circulator.

Are your devices surface-mountable / water-washable?

Some of our designs are surface mountable; however, they are not water-washable.
